The Phillips family
of Dallas, Texas is one of the Southwest's most prominent and respected families. Not only are they known for their accomplishments in business, but also for their philanthropic commitment to their community. They give generously to both educational and cultural institutions. For example, Gene and his wife, Roxanne, have long been patrons of the arts, supporting the symphony and the Dallas Grand Opera where he also served as a director. They are also strong supporters of health organizations such as, Nexus Recovery Center, KidneyTexas Inc. and the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.

Originally trained in chemical engineering, Gene Phillips is especially concerned about the growing energy shortage, and his focus is not solely directed stateside. He is exploring new energy opportunities in several European and African countries where he sees tremendous growth potential. Gene Phillips is dedicated to helping developing countries establish affordable and reliable electricity. Gene Phillips has recently travelled to many African countries, including Nigeria, Botswana, Ghana, and The Republic of Cameroon, to help identify solutions to energy issues in the hopes of strengthening these successful African nations’ power infrastructures, as they continue on their path to economic security.
